Pelvic floor rehabilitation

Ultrasound also helps a great deal in assessing pelvic floor rehabilitation. We can assess if the patient is correctly performing pelvic floor muscle exercises by looking at the reduction of urethral mobility during muscle contraction and the proximity of the lower part of the levator ani to the pubis (clip 3). A very good correlation between the ultrasonographic assessment and clinical assessment of levator ani function has also been observed.
