For the second year in a row, MútuaTerrassa has achieved the Global Compact Advanced, the highest reporting level, with the presentation of its sixth social commitment report for 2015. The company has been a member of the UN Global Compact since 2009 and its sixth report demonstrates its intense involvement over the past six years to its social commitment.

Of the 793 Spanish companies that submitted their progress reports to the UN Global Compact, only 8%, including MútuaTerrassa, achieved the highest certification level. Furthermore, MútuaTerrassa was the only company from the healthcare sector to receive this certification.

In order to achieve the highest certification again this year, MútuaTerrassa structured report content based on the company’s main interest groups and incorporated 15 more social initiatives (going from 48 to 63). In addition, it also provided more in-depth information about the management indicators assessing its actions.

Like with previous reports, this document compiles the most relevant corporate information from the 2015 Executive Summary from all service departments in MútuaTerrassa. It includes social and environmental aspects and corporate governance in order to provide an overall look at the social commitment of the people and professionals who make up the company.

Of the 63 actions compiled in the report, which range from the implementation of a people-oriented healthcare model in the Medical and Social Services Department, the development of healthcare dissemination programmes to the promotion of scientific production and the generation of knowledge and the sustainable management of buildings, one stood out and was awarded on an international level. The Integralia Vallès Foundation is an initiative recognised by the International Hospital Federation with first prize in International Excellence in terms of CSR.
