Last July 12, the group of parents of teenagers ended, which is held once a month throughout the academic year, and which will be restarted in September with a new group.

This activity is part of the program for adolescents that takes place in the CAS for about 10 years. This program includes counseling for the adolescent and / or their families, and also treatment. We work in coordination with other health services such as the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Center or the Health and School program that takes place in Primary Care Centers and schools. Likewise, interventions are also carried out as an alternative to administrative sanctions for the consumption or possession of cannabis in the street. (ASA Program)


In the case of Sant Cugat, a workshop on relaxation and mindfulness was started, which has been very well received by users and family members. This workshop is directed by the nurse of the CAS, with specific training in this subject, and has had a duration of six sessions of weekly frequency.

Mindfulness is what happens from the practice of conscious attention d 'same in the present moment. The main tool used is l`atenció to bodily sensations, emphasizing breathing and meditation. Helping to break with mental habits, judgments and impulses to give space to a state of greater calm and kindness with oneself, diminishing states d`ansietat and depression.


MútuaTerrassa CAS promotes the Hepatitis C awareness week

Last July Between July 23 and 29 the week of awareness about Hepatitis C disease is celebrated. It is the most common liver infection in Europe and is ten times more contagious than HIV / AIDS.


Specifically, on July 25, the Department of Health organized a day under the title: "Walking towards the elimination of Hepatitis", which was attended by CAS professionals from MútuaTerrassa.


Likewise, the different CASs managed by MútuaTerrassa during the week held informative sessions addressed to their users on what services they can offer in reference to screening for Hepatitis C screening, monitoring and treatment initiation.
