All set for the start of the “Dijous de Salut” conference series in Sant Cugat
In Sant Cugat, on Thursday 22 September, the 7th edition of the "Dijous de Salut" conference series in health kicks off in view of disseminating current topics in medicine and addressing all major concerns in our society.
The conference series was initiated in 2012 by MútuaTerrassa and the Town Hall of Sant Cugat. This year, three conferences are scheduled, one per month between September and November. Like always, the event will take place at the town’s Casa de Cultura (located at C/Castellví, s/n) at 7pm.
The first conference, led by Dr. Odile Romero, neurophysiologist and chief of the Sleep Disorders Unit of the MútuaTerrassa Àptima Centre Clínic in Sant Cugat, will provide answers to questions related to sleeping habits and the effects insufficient sleep has on the body. Dr. Romero, with extensive experience in neurophysiology as director of the Multidisciplinary Unit of Sleep at Hospital Vall d’Hebron, will also talk about the main sleep disorders and give recommendations on how to get a better night’s sleep.
The series will continue on Thursday, 20 October with the second topic”ADHD- Family, education and health”. Led by Dr. Amaia Hervás, psychiatrist and chief of the Child Psychiatry Department at MútuaTerrassa University Hospital.
The series will close on Thursday, 17 November with the conference “Menopause: How does it affect women?”, led by Dr. Enric Cayuela, gynaecologist and head of the Hysteroscopy Unit at MútuaTerrassa Àptima Centre Clínic in Sant Cugat.
