Last Friday, June 29, Dr. Antoni Salvador participated as a speaker in a course on keratoplasty techniques held in Madrid and promoted by Oftaltech Brain Trust. He presented the technique used in the HUMT for the treatment of the affections of the inner part of the cornea -the corneal endothelium- with the procedure called DMEK (Muraine variant) and to refer to its particularities and difficulties. Through an audiovisual format, he also offered attendees a "wetlab" with corpse eyes that were not suitable for transplantation.

Under the direction of Dr. Emeterio Orduña, Head of the Ophthalmology Service of the Son Llàtzer Hospital, the course included 4 more speakers, from various centers in the state and addressed the following contents: instrumentation to keratoplasty, Dalkia, keratoplasty lamelar posterior, DSAEK, FACO as well as the management of corneal rejection. And there was also an open debate in the form of a practical workshop.
