Attended by professionals from more than a hundred countries and in the case of HUMT participated as a delegate Dr. Lluís Font-Vizcarra, deputy of the COT service of HUMT. In order to get the most out of the meeting, the different delegates prepare thematic and questions to discuss together and Dr. Fuente-Vizcarra -along with 3 other delegates- addressed the question of whether there is enough evidence to recommend the use of the infected prosthesis as a spacer after being sterilized intraoperatively by autoclaving.

The meeting also included representatives of prestigious orthopedic societies and the idea is to develop a document that can be used to improve the care of patients with musculoskeletal infections. The next edition will be held in 2023.
