Dr. Caballero and Mr. Guerrero, invited to "La nit dels savis" of Canal Terrassa


Speaking and discussing everything that surrounds the group of older people is the goal of the television program "La nit dels savis", which airs every Friday at 9 pm on Canal Terrassa. Presented by the Jordi Dueso from Terrassa, it is a space for outreach that every week addresses a different issue from the perspective of the elderly.

This February the program has invited two professionals from the entity to talk about very different aspects. In this regard, last Friday, February 9, the theme chosen was prostate cancer and Dr. Caballero, head of the urology department of HUMT, intervened to provide all his knowledge about this disease.



Apart from Dr. Caballero, Dr. Ángeles Arcusa, Head of the Oncology Service of the Sanitari Consortium of Terrassa, Mr. Josep Maria Folch, patient of Dr. Caballero and Mr. Jordi Puig, member of the Fundació Lliga Catalana de Ajuda Oncològica.



A week later - Friday 16 - Mr. Juan Guerrero, head of the Admissions, Bed Management and Waiting Lists Process of HUMT was invited to the program, this time to address the issue regarding the reduction of surgical waiting lists of hospitals. In this sense, last 2017 the HUMT reduced the waiting lists of surgical interventions by 8.2% and it is the only center in Barcelona that managed to reduce these figures with respect to the previous year.



In addition to Mr. Guerrero, Mrs. Nuria Labrador, Director of Patient Management and Citizen Services of the Sanitari Consortium of Terrassa, Mrs. Nuria Martín, pre-retired nurse and member of the CGT union and Mr. Jaume Pavía of the Platform in Defense of the Public Health of Terrassa, also participated.



In both cases and in accordance with the format of the program, in addition to sharing the respective contributions, all the guests interacted with the audience and answered all the questions asked.
