Living with digestive and/or urinary stomas
On Thursday, 17 November, the Coloproctology Unit of the General Surgery Department and the Urology Department are organising a meeting dedicated to people with stomas and their families in order to exchange experiences and concerns with other people who have gone through the same thing.
A stoma is a surgical deviation for the digestive or urinary system that eliminates the body’s waste when elimination can’t be done via the natural route. People with stomas need to take care of their stomas with specific material, but despite that, they can lead completely normal lives.
