The scientific and human knowledge of Dr. Rami, in the waves of the CADENA SER

The weekend magazine of the CADENA SER "Everything is comedy" interviewed last Sunday, March 4, Dr. Rami, clinical chief of the Thoracic Surgery Service of HUMT. The broadcast was at 12 o'clock and he spoke about thoracic surgery and lung cancer and, at the same time, presenter Rosa Badia, also asked him about his more literary side, specifically his exceptional interest in the life and work of the English author Graham Greene.


During the interview Dr. Rami explained the current state of the fight against cancer, the types of lung cancer, the problem of smokers and also referred to other aspects such as the future of this disease or the way it uses when communicating certain diagnoses to patients. The interview also addresses his role as president of the World Congress of Lung Cancer to be held in 2019 in Barcelona.



Through the fragment of the film "The Third Man", scripted by Graham Greene, the journalist introduces the literary side of Dr. Rami and his admiration for the English author. In this sense, he explains that he has been interested in him since his years in the medical school and that the reading of his books led to an interest in his life, which gave him a deeper understanding of the work and religious thought of Greene.



Dr. Rami also talks about the constitution of the Graham Greene Birthplace Trust and his regular attendance at the annual Graham Greene festival organized by the Trust. It refers, among others, also to the numerous trips he has made to know the scenarios of the various works of the author. And the interview concludes again with cancer and specifically talks about his involvement with the new guide TNM Staging Manuald'stadification of lung cancer.
