In the interview, Dr. Ramon Rami explained the novelties that the 9th edition of the TNM classification will incorporate. The challenge of this new edition, besides trying to refine the T, N and M components of the classification, will be the constitution of prognostic groups based on the combination of anatomical factors of the TNM classification and other factors, clinical, molecular and , above all, genetic, that will allow to better understand the behavior of tumors and improve both the prognosis and personalized treatment for patients.



Dr. Rami also participated in the plenary session with the paper entitled "Key Messages from WCLC 2018 and Goals for 2.019: Surgery", also took part in the closing of the congress, where 7,500 delegates from nearly 100 countries have attended, to invite to those attending the next edition of the World Conference of Lung Cancer in Barcelona, ​​where he will act as President of the Conference, with the collaboration of the Co-Presidents, Dr. Enriqueta Felip, medical oncologist at the University Hospital Valle de Hebrón, and Dr. Antoni Rosell, interventional pulmonologist at the Germans Trias i Pujol University Hospital.
