In order to reach the entire population, local media in the city interviewed Dr. Salvadora Delgado, specialist in bariatric surgery and Mrs. Montse Ibarra, dietitian-nutritionist, both professionals from Àptima Centro Clínico.


In this regard, the afternoon magazine Cugat.cat spoke - on September 18 - with Dr. Delgado, who spoke about the work of the Center's Bariatric Surgery Unit and explained how this surgery can be a good option for improving the quality of life of patients with morbid obesity.


In parallel, on Wednesday, September 19, the newspaper Tot St. Cugat published an interview with Ms. Ibarra, who explained -from the perspective of dietetics and nutrition- the differences between obesity and overweight, the causes of multifactorial type, the role of nutrition and the importance of prevention, the risks associated with obesity or the problems it poses in children, among other aspects.
