In conjunction with the Spinal Cord Unit of the Althaia Orthopaedic Surgery and Trauma Department, the Neurosurgery Department of MútuaTerrassa University Hospital (HUMT) will participate in the organisation of the 9th Spinal Cord Meeting which will bring together around 150 specialists from trauma, rehabilitation and neurosurgery departments and pain clinics in Mont Sant Benet de Manresa on the 24 and 25 of November.



This year, the meeting will bring together prestigious specialists from all over Spain who will provide updated information about chronic pain and complex spinal surgery. The meeting will encompass a total of four round table conferences which will discuss multidisciplinary treatment of chronic pain caused by the spinal cord and steps for saving failed spinal surgery. The first conference will be led by Dr. Carme Pérez, chief of the HUMT Anaesthesiology Department. Dr. Marcel·lí Garcia Bach, head of the HUMT Neurosurgery Department, will kick off the meeting and act as moderator for the other round table conferences.
