Are you going on a trip? Do not forget to bring your medicine cabinet!

In case of going on vacation it is advisable to take a first aid kit. Taking into account the characteristics of your travel destination, it is necessary to contain the necessary medicines and sanitary material to be able to treat and alleviate minor discomfort, mild symptoms or minor disorders, under the necessary conditions.

When preparing the first aid kit, consider the duration of the trip to carry a sufficient amount of medication, especially if you take one regularly.

Remember that medications must be stored in their original containers and with their package leaflet.

In the kit it is recommended that it include:

  • Sun protection. It is advisable to protect yourself adequately from the sun's rays with sunglasses, caps and sun creams, both for the face and for the body and lips, preferably greater than a factor of 30.
  • Some diseases are transmitted through mosquito bites. To avoid them, use an insect repellent with concentrations of active product suitable for areas with extreme weather. It is also advised that you use mosquito nets and / or insecticides in the room.
  • Topical treatment by insect bites
  • Analgesics (paracetamol or Ibuprofen)

Always leave the kit in a suitable place, so that the medicines do not spoil as a result of heat and humidity.

It is convenient to carry your individual health card or European health card.

If you are in European territory you do not need any special control, but if you travel outside Europe it is important to go to an international health center. There you will receive information and advice on vaccination and prevention of diseases specific to the country you are visiting.

One last important note: it is convenient to have some phones at hand that can help. Make a small note with the following phones and place it inside the kit:
