The document presented - "Catalonia and Europe before the stroke" - took stock of the pioneering implementation of the Stroke Code System, which covers all of Catalonia since 2006. In this sense and according to data from the 2017 Master Plan for Vascular Brain Disease of the Health Department of the Generalitat, the HUMT is the leading center in Catalonia in the operation of the Ictus Code since it has a "door-needle" time of only 26 minutes (12 below the average of 38 presented by the rest of the centers).



This was the reason why TVE wanted to echo HUMT's leadership precisely on the day in which this balance was made. In the course of the news, the importance of teamwork through a multidisciplinary organizational model composed of professionals from the Emergency Service, Intensive Medicine, Radiology and Neurology was clear and, in terms of technology, it was also evident the technical means with which which counts as the two haemodynamic rooms and the advanced image equipment.
