Dr. Vidal Jové moderates a table on abdominal organs in the 4th European Focused Ultrasound Therapy Symposium

He is responsible for the Hight Intensity Focus Ultrasound Unit (HIFU) of the HUMT.

The German city of Leipzig hosted, between October 26 and 27, the 4th edition of the European Focused Utrasonic Therapy Symposium, in which Dr. Vidal Jové participated with the purpose of sharing his experience in the treatment through HIFU and also the future perspectives.

In this sense, Dr. Vidal Jové was invited to moderate, together with Dr. Wladislaw Gedroyc (London), a specific block centered on the abdominal organs. Dr. Chrit Monens (Urtech) and Dr. Tobias Preußen (Bremen) also intervened in this panel. The final part was given by Dr. Vidal Jové, who addressed the therapeutic options of ultrasound-guided HIFU therapy for the treatment of pancreatic and liver cancer.


Within the framework of this 4th European Focused Ultrasound Therapy Symposium it was announced that Dr. Vidal Jové will be in charge of organizing both the World Congress of the International Society for Therapeutic Ultrasound (ISTU) and the European Congress - the 5th European Focused Ultrasound Therapy Symposium (EUFUS) -, which will celebrate them in 2019 in Barcelona.
