Mútua Terrassa University Hospital, Catlab and Axioma, show their dependencies in schools

Last Friday, March 16, the Parc Logístic de Salut de Viladecavalls received the visit of about thirty students of 6th grade of the school L'Avet. Dr. Imma Caballé, director of Catlab and Mr. Ignasi Canal, director of Axioma, received them and made a note about the purpose of the visit and the route they would take.

First they knew the dependencies of Catlab. Accompanied by Dr. Caballé and Dr. Paloma Salas, responsible for extraanalytics, they were able to see -among others- the extraction process or the microscopic visualization, as well as the rest of the facilities.



Next, they went to Axioma and learned about the peculiarities of the Steripak surgical tissue, the instrument washing area and the laundry. In this sense, the students could see - dressed in technical clothes and sterilized - a demonstration of the surgical material that arrives at Axioma, the containers that are used and the operation of the washing machines as well as the unloading area of ​​the trucks.



For its part, on Thursday, March 22, a score of ESO students from the La Vall school visited the Mútua Terrassa University Hospital. Firstly, they met with Dr. Yolanda Cuesta, managing director of Àptima Centro Clínico, the MútuaTerrassa entity as a whole, through a corporate presentation and audiovisual presentation.



Then the students made a tour of some of the HUMT sites such as the Cabinets of Exploration, External Consultations, the delivery room, the facilities of Àptima Centro Clínico, the Neonatal Unit as well as Hemodynamics and Radiology.
