    The Patient Safety Commission presents the Care for the Second Victims guide

    Next Friday, April 20, the Patient Safety Day will be held with the aim of publicizing the Care Guide for Second Victims, a tool conceived with the idea of ​​supporting professionals who are involved in a severe adverse event in the patient. The presentation will take place at 8.30 in the teaching building.


    It is foreseen that Dr. Carles Fontcuberta, manager of the MútuaTerrassa Assistance Service Area, Mr. Carles García, corporate director of Human Resources of the entity and Ms. Núria Freixas, president of the Commission for Patient Safety of MutuaTerrassa


    In addition, the day will also include the participation of Dr. Elena Carreras, president of the Catalan Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology and chief of service of Gynecology and Obstetrics University Hospital Vall d'Hebron. He will deliver the lecture "The Patient Safety Model at Vall d'Hebrón University Hospital".

    Act of delivery of the accreditation of the Intestinal Inflammatory Disease Unit

    The auditorium of the teaching building will be the stage in which it will take place the act of delivery of the accreditation of the Intestinal Inflammatory Disease Unit of the Gastroenterology Service of HUMT. It is a quality certification of the Ad Qualitatem Foundation, which certifies that the unit in question meets the highest standards of quality in its healthcare activity.



    This stamp - which is part of a certification process jointly promoted by the Spanish Working Group on Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis (GETECCU) and the Ad Qualitatem Foundation - has as its main objective to improve and standardize the care provision of patients with inflammatory bowel disease throughout Spain. The HUMT, will be one of the 14 accredited units that currently exist in Spain and the fourth in Catalonia.

    Seminar to present the 7th Global Compact progress report

    The next day of March 22th will be the day of Presentation of the 7th Global Compact Progress report that will take place in the Teaching Building of MútuaTerrassa.

    The main objective of this day is to publicize the set of initiatives of social commitment that are being carried out in our entity and to do so through the voice of the protagonists who develop them day by day.

    At the end of the event, the 7th Social Commitment Report of MútuaTerrassa will be delivered, once again recognized with the maximum level that can be achieved: Global Compact Advanced.

    Conference The day of childbirth

    Next Monday, March 19, at 5:30 pm, will take place in the MútuaTerrassa room of the Teaching Building, located in San Antonio Street, 39 in Terrassa, the session The day of childbirth.

    They are talks about what space is like and what a special day a mother will live when she enters the Delivery Room of the MútuaTerrassa University Hospital. These talks will be in charge of the midwives of MútuaTerrassa.

    The art of knowing how to communicate

    Next Friday, March 16, in the teaching building, will take place the day of bioethics that this year will be done under the slogan "The art of knowing how to communicate."

    The purpose of the day will focus, through debate and reflection, on the importance of sensitive communication to people and their ethical dimension in day-to-day clinical practice. Topics such as: how we relate to patients and the family, and how we ensure that they receive, in an understandable way, the information required to make decisions about their care process.
