    They are talks about what space is like and what a special day a mother will live when she enters the Delivery Room of the MútuaTerrassa University Hospital. These talks will be in charge of the midwives of MútuaTerrassa.

    Basic training course in endoscopic surgery for residents

    The General and Digestive surgery service will host the basic training course in endoscopic surgery that will take place on the 14th and 15th of February in the MútuaTerrassa teaching building and the MútuaTerrassa University Hospital, this course that is sponsored by the "Asociación Española de Cirujanos "and the" Fundación cirujía Española ", aims to provide students with the basic and necessary notions that allow them to perform a laparoscopy with a sufficient degree of autonomy and safety.

    Everything ready for the celebration of a new edition of the ADIR course

    Between February 7 and 9, the teaching building will host a new edition of the training course, research and clinical accreditation on ADI-R (Autism Diagnostic Interview Revised) organized by the Children and Youth Psychiatry Unit of the Mútua Terrassa University Hospital (HUMT).

    As in the past editions, the direction of this course will be borne by Dr. Amaia Hervás, psychiatrist and coordinator of the Unit. Dr. Hervás is a national and international reference in the formation of these diagnostic tools ADI-R and ADOS2 by the University of London (UK), Newcastle University (UK) and Cornell University New York (USA) .

    I Workshop. Axillary endoscopic thyroidectomy

    Next Monday, January 29, the General Surgery Service of the MútuaTerrassa University Hospital will hold the 1st Workshop on Transaxial Thyroid Surgery. The day will begin at 8.15am, in the MútuaTerrassa room of the Edifici Docent de MútuaTerrassa.


    The continuous innovation in the field of General Surgery and in particular of Endocrine Surgery has promoted the development of new techniques and surgical approaches without visible scars. This new technological era creates the need to train and train endocrine surgeons in these new surgical skills to effectively solve the medical problems posed.

    Dijous de Mútua - Prostate cancer, how it affects men

    Next Thursday, November 30, at 6:00 pm in the MútuaTerrassa Teaching Building, the last conference of the Dijous de Mútua 2017 cycle will take place, under the title: "Prostate cancer, how it affects men", which will run to position of Dr. Josep Maria Caballero, head of the Urology Department of the MútuaTerrassa University Hospital.

    In this sense, Dr. Josep Maria Caballero will talk about the risk factors related to prostate cancer, since it is the second most common cancer diagnosed in our country and the fifth with the highest mortality.

    The only way to detect this type of cancer early is by informing about the tests to be carried out through family doctors or the urologist.

    "Els Dijous de Mútua" were born in 2003 to disseminate current medical topics and inform in an understandable way about everything that worries society.
